Needed a pallet cleanser after all the thanksgiving and this honestly hit the spot. Let's get straight to it: The menu is overall pretty pricy and appetizers aren't that big to share aside from the nachos. The street corn was small it's considered an appetizer but it's just one small corn on the cob which we requested to cut in half but it was very flavorful and would order again. The entrees was 16 for 3 tacos and a small side. Seems kinda expensive but when I got them they were jam packed with meat which I really appreciate. The ramen was way too salty to my liking but the wife kinda enjoyed it, but she said she wouldn't get it again. Again was a huge portion. I had to dress my own tacos because all the condiments, pico, hot sauce, all came on the side which I guess helps out the picky eaters haha. I believe we will be back

Tried and true, this place hits all of the marks! The service is spectacular with people who care about your satisfaction! Caroline, Maria, Fabian, Brandon and others are the very Best! Good people, good conversation and good "service"! No matter what I order, it is served hot and to perfection. Order for your own dietary needs and they will accommodate. The ambiance is vibrant, musical and engaging. Practice your Spanish and they are welcoming of your learning curve. It is a family friendly, family oriented restaurant and know that you will feel at home. We get our "passports" out and drive 30-40 minutes several times monthly for this wonderful lil neighborhood spot! See ya there!

Had a lovely weekend visit to Blue Habanero for the first time. The atmosphere was great with colorful art and a clean and open floor plan. The music was a tad too loud like most restaurants in the area. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable with solid recommendations for my drink and food choices. I had the spicy tamarindo mezcalrita and we both got taco plates. I ordered the short rib tacos on the recommendation and they were delicious. Very cheesy and filling. We also ordered the shrimp tacos that were delicious too. Our "spicy veggies" on the side turned out to be calabacitas which would be nice if they would have just called it that. My partner is not a fan of squash usually but they were good and definitely very spicy! My only complaint is that I wish it were easier to try different tacos or just order them a la carte.

Decor was beautiful but not too much and very cozy. We were seated right away! My friend and I had a few of the margaritas including the prickly pear (9/10), spicy cilantro (9/10) and the flight which included a spicy mango (10/10), guava (8/10) and passion fruit (8/10). The drinks were pretty strong too. The appetizers were the stars of the show, but the entrees were underwhelming but not bad.

Absolutely love this spot with visiting with friends. The margaritas are beautiful, and the birria tacos here are hands down some of the best in Cleveland. What I really appreciate is that their menu showcases photos of all their dishes, making it super easy to decide what to order.

The restaurant is located in Gordon Square and is nice inside with tasteful decor. We were seated pretty quickly and service was very fast. I tried the vegetarian options from the menu and really liked the Cauliflower tacos. I would opt for the flour tortillas instead of corn since corn didn't hold up as well. Food was pretty good, but not something I'd come back for. They also messed up my sides, but the staff was quick to correct it. While the service was quick, I felt like they were trying to rush us. As soon as I took the final bite of my meal, someone came by with the check and ushered us out quickly. Not a big deal since they were probably busy and needed tables, but it felt a bit rushed! Parking was a bit tough. They have a lot but it's pretty tiny.

Another day, another ok Mexican restaurant. Blue Habanero is located in artsy Gordon Square, and it fits that vibe well. Dia De Los Muertos skull imagery predominates. Staff is efficient & pleasant. I got carnitas tacos. The pork was tender as possible, but lacked a certain zip of seasoning. The sauce served on the side was lacking in both heat & portion size. The Mexican rice was ok, but honestly inferior to picking up a bag of Vigo at Walmart and making it at home. The place is ok. It doesn't deserve four stars, but three seemed too low.
